Sweet Quarantine - China Lockdown Day 6
One of the great things about being stuck inside the same four walls for half a month is that I'm not really in solitary confinement. I've caught up with family and friends, done all my work calls and today did one of my favorite things - teach.
I'm in my 6th year as a Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship at Peking University's Guanghua Int'l MBA Program. Established in 1898, Peking University is considered the Harvard of China. I *love* walking on that beautiful campus where I feel like a vampire - feeding off the energy of the students scurrying to class. (Last year I presented about the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem at Harvard back in my hometown and said: "Peking University where I teach is considered the Harvard of China, but I frankly disagree. *PAUSE* Actually, Harvard is the Peking University of America."
This got a much bigger laugh in China...
Today I taught my class from the confines of my hotel room and while the energy can't compare to being there in person, I'm completely energized and filled with great ideas from my students and our terrific guest lecturer, Stuart Oda (https://www.dhirubhai.net/in/stuartoda/), founder and CEO of www.AlescaLife.com who is pioneering urban farming in an incredibly compelling and innovative way.
The TAM - Total Addressable Market - for what he is pursuing is ginormous.

4 年Having lessons on Saturday and Sunday is a typical Chinese thing. I remember when I was at East China University of Science and Technology doing classes in the weekends.
