Last April, when Sabine Sarah Myara-Robic created a handmade body scrub for a Mother’s Day present, she never considered it would result in a thriving business just a year later.

“I wanted to celebrate my mom’s North African heritage, so I created what is now known as our Moroccan Mint & Green Tea scrub” Sabine said. “My mom has always worked hard and continues to motivate me. Most important, she’s always told me to believe in myself and strive for more.”

Sabine says when she gave her mom, Monique Myara-Kormos, the scrub, she cried and was excited to get something handmade by her daughter.

“I was touched because it was so different from any gift she’d ever given me,” Monique said. “Sabine took the time to research and create something just for me. She actually gave me two things that day—a wonderful body scrub and a stronger relationship that’s allowed us to come together, have fun, and help one another on a whole new level.”

And it wasn't soon after Mother’s Day when friends and family members started requesting their own products—which inspired Sabine to create a full line of body scrubs and oils and establish Scrubalicious Bodyworks in November 2014.
