Swatiska = Hate

Today, I was walking along McCalister Head, and this is what I saw: a Swatiska being removed from the Hastings Law School's dorm building located at 198 McCalister. Mind you, there are Cameras everywhere. I was extremely disturbed because it was my first time being that close to something like that. This incident comes a week or two after I learned that the Anti-Abortion Group came to San Francisco to protest and allowed the "Proud Boys" to march with them. And three days later, someone wrote, "I hate Black people" inside of a building on Market Street. .

So, being who I am, I approached the security guard and asked if this had been reported to the police as a hate crime. He didn't know and said that I could ask the front desk. I went inside and asked, and the security guard told me they'd review it first and then send it to the police. Once again, I reiterated that this was a hate crime and that they needed to look at their cameras. They came out and looked at the gentleman cleaning it off.

One security guard stood a little confused, then hesitated but stated, "I don't understand it all." I said, "We have a bunch of folks who hate California and all of its diversity. It needs to be reported; they need to look closely at those cameras." I realized that I was probably more disturbed than everyone else because I was older and knew the history.

Note: A Swastika symbol isn't just about hating Jews; it's hate against other minorities as well. So please take photos when you see this and call the police. Get involved because if you ignore this stuff, it will spread like cancer.
