SWARCO Denmark has been “mugged”

With more than 70 dedicated employees Swarco master all kinds of tasks regarding parking and intersections. But here was a challenge, that exceed standard delivery. It was not a SMART solution like bus-priority or intelligent green wave (SMART Corridor). This solution was quite low-tech.

More than white lines and red lights 

The city of Aabenraa wanted to celebrate that this part of Denmark has been a part of The Kingdom of Denmark for the past 100 years. The city also wanted to show their respect to the king – King Christian. 10. Of Denmark – as he was the ruler at that time.  So, they had an idea, but the idea was more than “just” an intersection. This should be a part of something bigger. 

Futurit – a Swarco company – was ready!

Drawings were made and the client and “the old guards” checked, if the solution could be approved. Futurit made masks for the pedestrian light. Then the files were forwarded to Aabenraa. This city had use for more than “just” traffic, and that is the reason why Swarco ended up with a mug.
