When did you last attend a motivation session and were blown away by simple but compelling thoughts presented sincerely with contagious energy?
I did last month when I attended the Annual Event of The Vanigam UAE Subscribers, a Tamil entrepreneurs network in the UAE. Many notable industrialists, business owners, and entrepreneurs from various countries presided over this event.
They had invited Paraman Pachaimuthu from India, a person with a grand vision of life and a simple approach to motivation. He is a Life transforming speaker, a voracious reader, and a prolific writer.?
He is also the Editor of the Tamil monthly 'Valarchi,' which helps people with self-development and growth.
It was a power-packed session where Paraman instantly connected with the audience and kept us engaged and participative for over 90 minutes.?
During the session, Paraman he the key ingredients for entrepreneurial success and a Tamil prayer song.
I've summarized the highlights from the session below, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on these ideas.
Focus on your health.
There is no point in being a successful entrepreneur if you are struggling with health issues and cannot enjoy the fruits of your labor.?
Being at the peak of your physical and mental health, with help you focus better, be more productive, manage your business well, and make better decisions.?
For those with a sedentary lifestyle, Paraman suggested starting with five reps of Super Brain Yoga, an ancient Indian practice for mental and physical well-being. However, he also recommended avoiding getting excited and overdoing any workout but staying consistent to get the best results.
Legends Secret: Last Long, Really Long:
While excellence is a prerequisite to entrepreneurship, legends start early, remain dedicated, and outlast others. The ability to persevere and the longevity of your efforts distinguish the ordinary from the legends.?
Paraman quoted a few brilliant examples to explain this;

True success lies in achieving excellence and sustaining it over the long haul.
Close the Gap
Get as close as possible to the source of the product to make more margins. The further you are on the supply chain, the less control you will have over the quality, quantity, and terms on which goods are supplied to you.?
Mastermind
Be a part of an enterprising, collaborative, and motivating mastermind. Paraman quoted the example of Qimat Rai Gupta, the founder, former chairman, and managing director of Havells group, to explain further the 2 points discussed above.
Always Stay on the Radar
Grow your reputation, build a brand, keep garnering attention, and continue your marketing endeavors. Always stay on your client's and prospects' radar. Remember, in business, out of sight often means out of mind. Out of mind will push you out of business slowly but surely.
While the above listed highlights Paraman's session, his energy, charisma, and enthusiasm cannot be expressed in words. You have to watch him live to get the whole experience.
However, people who understand Tamil can watch one of his videos here.
Although, it has been a few days since the event, the lessons learned are still fresh in my mind, and I am motivated to implement the points discussed above.
What about you?
Which of these above points do you relate with??
