Sustainable Stormwater Management Upskilling

The rising concern of rapid urbanization and climate change brings forward new challenges to cities’ sustainability and resilience practices. Among these challenges are the management of stormwater runoff, the protection of water quality and prevention of contamination to urban rivers.?

To help overcome these challenges and achieve systemic sustainability, consider our Low Impact Development & Climate Resilience (LID) Certificate Program! This professional training course is being offered this Fall 2023 for its third year in collaboration with W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology, McMaster University , the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering / La Société canadienne de génie civil (CSCE), and Sustainable Technologies Evaluation Program (STEP).

LID Full Program highlights:

  • Participants will earn a Micro-credential from McMaster University’s W Booth School of Engineering Practice & Technology
  • The program is composed of 8 courses (4 mandatory courses + a choice of 4 electives (6 options). More details: (https://www.beyond21.world/sustainable-infrastructure-lid)
  • Schedule: November 2023 – May 2024.
  • The Full program cost is 50 % subsidized ( $750 + HST vs. $1,500 + HST )
  • First course of the program begins November 2nd, 2023

LID new features:?

  • Interested applicants now have the option to register to a single course, allowing them to? focus on a specific topic of their choosing without enrolling to the Full 8 courses program.
  • Individual Courses are now offered over 2 days (~4 hours each day) starting 12:00 pm EST
