Why do so many children's books about public transport make it a novelty? Anyone know kids books that feature public transport as part of daily life?
This was a question I posed on twitter, and received an overwhelming response.
I collected all the books into a list on Goodreads. Alas, I have discovered that as the lists on Goodreads are community owned, I am unable to moderate what gets added to the list. Here, again, is the list of books that were suggested in the twitter thread, augmented with some titles from the #WarOnCars kids bookshelf to broaden out the selection to sustainable mobility more generally.
I will endeavour to update this list with any new suggestions that get posted in the comments. I am particularly interested to learn of books from Australia.

2 年Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" is most thought-provoking about the spatio-sensory nexus of physical mobilities.
