Landia Green Commitment

At the beginning of 2023, at LANDIA, we undertook the commitment to generate value in a more sustainable manner. For this reason, we began measuring the environmental impacts of our productions and making changes in our operations to reduce them.

We are aware that this process will take time and that we will not see results overnight. For this reason, a few months ago, we decided to start offsetting a portion of the impacts we currently generate.

How are we offsetting this impact?

At LANDIA, in collaboration with the Cuajimalpa City Hall and the Lorenzo Acopilco Community, we have decided to finance a pilot reforestation project covering three (3) hectares of forest with native trees. To date, we have planted approximately 1500 trees of the pinus hartwegii species on Cerro San Miguel, Cuajimalpa de Morelos, CDMX. This project is part of an ongoing effort to restore the ecosystem of an area that was affected by a forest fire in 1996.

Why is this project important?

Reforestation has the potential to generate benefits for both the environment and local communities. It contributes to climate change mitigation by absorbing carbon dioxide (CO2), thus reducing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Additionally, it improves air quality, conserves biodiversity, increases water

absorption and quality, and protects against soil erosion, among other benefits.

We are convinced that on this journey we embarked on together, we will make a difference.
