You can also join the LGA Low Carbon Procurement Virtual Event ?on Thursday 10 October 2024 to hear how local authorities are adopting policies and processes more favourable to low carbon options.?
Read our Sustainability strategic briefings on topics such as decarbonising transport, the natural environment, the green economy and community energy. The LGA hopes this project will help local leaders to make sustainable interventions and decisions around these topics. ?
This month we spotlighted ?Newham Council's Just Transition Plan that was launched to support its local net zero targets. The plan shifts focus from a purely decarbonisation approach to a wider stance embedding core principles of increasing equity for residents and adapting to the worsening impacts of climate change.?
