Sustainability – transcending environmental issues

Social mobility at the heart of OCZ ANZ

It’s humbling to see sustainability – in all its forms - being fully embraced by our sector in Australia.?

The extent of this industry commitment was recently highlighted in an article I was interviewed for?InClean magazine Australia,?which highlighted some of the initiatives we – and others – are undertaking as a sector.

We were featured alongside the founder of The Ashkin Group, Steve Ashkin, and?Vivid CEO, Dan Carpenter.

Our industry generally agree that sustainability is a broad term,?including how an organisation acts and operates.

At OCS ANZ, three pillars that provide the framework for?achieving?sustainable outcomes are social mobility, the environment, and health and safety.

Social mobility is at the heart of our company – we believe in building a culture where everyone can thrive regardless of their?socio-economic background.

We aim to add value to every community we work in by creating new opportunities for great careers and contributing to local economies.

We’re also a genuinely inclusive employer, focusing on meaningful workplace diversity and gender parity among all levels of our business.

Our people are our greatest asset, and with the COVID-19 pandemic deepening in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, in the last few years, our focus has been even more pointed to keeping our people safe.?

We've worked on supporting our team’s mental and physical wellbeing as they continue to play their critical role on the frontline.

We’ll continue to keep people at the heart of everything we do, as we work with the wider sector for a more sustainable future.

You can read the full article on the?InClean?website in their September / October issue.?
