The service aims to seamlessly connect businesses in South Gujarat to markets in and around the NCR region, and vice versa. SARAL will establish a vital rail link, connecting key markets in South Gujarat, including Surat, Vapi, Valsad, Vadodara, Bharuch, and Ankleshwar, with markets in Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, Haryana, and South Punjab.
While current green corridor plans predominantly focus on ports in the global north, the new project aims to include developing countries. As part of the plan, pre-feasibility studies will be conducted in Namibia, Panama, Fiji, and two more countries to be announced soon.
US based, Panattoni is set to invest Rs 110 crore by March 2025 to establish a warehouse park in Delhi-NCR, its first project in the Indian market. The global industrial and real estate developer announced it foray into the Indian market in July last year and has since invested USD 200 million in developing four industrial and logistics parks, addressing the escalating demand for warehousing spaces in major cities.

To meet this target, DP World aims to switch all fossil fuel-powered equipment and vehicles at its terminal operations in India to electric power. It has already initiated open access sourcing of green power at its two terminals in Nhava Sheva (NSIGT and NSICT) which will help replace about 75% of conventional electricity needs with green power, leading to about 50% reduction in carbon emissions at the facilities.?
ECO Delivery allows Maersk customers to manage ocean transports entirely with certified green fuels, such as second-generation biofuel derived from waste feedstocks. This marks a pivotal shift, replacing traditional fossil fuels and significantly reducing seaborne emissions. With the Maersk tool, customers receive confirmation of GHG emission savings through a certificate, ensuring transparency and accountability in the pursuit of sustainability.
The policy consolidates connectivity projects, including the Arunachal Frontier Highway, a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Balinong, new industrial areas, upgrades to infrastructure, and a proposed logistics hub, fostering comprehensive growth. The Xeneta Shipping Index (XSI) experienced a significant drop of 4.7% in October, plummeting to 158.5 points, marking a substantial 62.3% decrease compared to the same period last year. Tata Group is planning to establish a semiconductor processing plant in Assam, with an investment of approximately Rs 40,000 crore, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's announcement on Friday. During an event, Sarma disclosed that the conglomerate has approached the central government for the final approval following discussions with the state government, and the clearance is anticipated soon.
