??As the end of the?United Nations?#ClimateConference?is approaching after two weeks at #COP27, the final is about to determine the world’s future!?This year, the #EnergyCrisis due to the Ukraine War and the embargo against Russia stood out among other agenda items. A group of over 50 European packaging associations across the value chain has released a statement expressing “serious concern” over the European Commission ’s revision plans for the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive #PPWD, which is expected at the end of this month.?European associations say EU packaging legislation could “cripple” industry and jeopardize millions of jobs. ??Climate activists have attacked a famous painting by artist #GustavKlimt with a black, oily liquid at the Leopold Museum-Privatstiftung in Vienna. The activist group Last Generation Austria said the target was against their government's use of fossil energies. The climate activists were heard shouting "Stop the fossil fuel destruction. ?? A team of researchers established that approximately half of all trees planted to restore #TropicalForests in?Asia do not survive beyond five years. Most of the sites under study included those where human activities had led to a decline in tree numbers. Read more
