Arkas Line Participated in the “Resilience and Collaboration in the Food Sector” Panel at WorldFood Istanbul 2024, Where Food Industry Giants Gathered
Held from September 3-6 at the Istanbul Tüyap Congress and Fair Center, WorldFood Istanbul 2024 stood out with record-breaking participation. The fair brought together 1,276 exhibitors and 2,899 brands from 43 countries, attracting a total of 72,864 visitors from 155 countries. Throughout the event, various activities and seminars were organized in collaboration with 35 sectoral institutions and organizations.
Arkas Line participated in the “Resilience and Collaboration in the Food Sector” panel alongside key players in the food and agriculture sectors, such as Anadolu Efes, Pepsico, and Tiryaki Agro. During the panel, Serra Tükel, Sustainability Director of the Arkas Maritime Group, shared insights on Arkas Line and its group companies sustainability-focused projects.

?zmir LOGISTECH Logistics, Storage, and Technologies Fair 2024: Arkas Line Highlights Sustainability Vision at Its Booth
Held between September 11-13, the Izmir Logistech Logistics, Storage, and Technologies Fair stood out as one of the most important events in the logistics sector. This year, the fair attracted over 24,000 visitors, making Izmir a meeting point for logistics innovations with international participants. Sustainable logistics solutions were one of the main themes of the fair.
At Arkas Line, with 84 ports and a vast service network across four continents, we seized the opportunity to further highlight how we prioritize sustainability in the maritime and logistics sectors. This year, we created a special sustainability-themed booth, where we shared our environmental responsibility initiatives with visitors and held interactive sessions on the future of sustainable transportation.

Arkas Line Discussed “Managing Carbon Pricing in the Maritime Industry” at the Innovate4Climate (IC4) Conference in Berlin
Innovate4Climate (I4C) is an annual global conference on climate finance, climate investment, and climate markets organized by the World Bank Group. Launched in 2017, I4C brings together thought leaders who aim to combine climate innovations with investment opportunities, transforming dialogue into action.
As a continuation of CARBON EXPO, which was held from 2003 to 2016, I4C has become a recognized platform for both private and public sector players to develop carbon market infrastructure and foster collaboration on carbon markets and climate finance instruments.

A Clean Step with Biofuel from Arkas Line on World Zero Emission Day
As part of World Zero Emission Day, Arkas Line aims to increase the use of biofuels on our vessels to contribute to a low-carbon future. Biofuel, a crucial step in meeting the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) emission targets, stands out as the most effective solution until alternative fuel technologies become more widespread.
Our group company, Arkas Bunker, plays a leading role in this initiative. As the first company in Turkey to receive the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), Arkas Bunker is pioneering the use of biofuels.
