Arkas Line Emphasized the Challenges of ETS and the Decarbonization in the Maritime Sector at Carbon Forward 2024

Turkey’s first carbon market event, ‘Carbon Forward Turkey 2024,’ was held in Izmir on May 9-10, organized by Redshaw Advisors and Carbon Pulse. The event brought together over 250 experts from the private sector, finance, government, and civil society. The conference covered a wide range of topics, including Turkey’s climate policy, the Turkey Emission Trading System (ETS), challenges and opportunities in the voluntary carbon market. Additionally, discussions focused on the impact of ETS on energy prices and the energy sector, as well as the role of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) in international trade.

Eight Sailing Athletes from Türkiye on Road to Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The Turkish Sailing Federation introduced the sailing team set to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, with Arkas Line as the logistics sponsor. The sailing events, featuring eight athletes competing in six quotas, are scheduled to take place between July 26 and August 11.

The countdown to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games has begun. The Olympic Promotion Meeting, organized by the Turkish Sailing Federation and introducing the Olympic Sailing Team that will represent our country at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, was held at Istanbul Feriye Restaurant, attended by Assoc. Phd. Veli Ozan Cakir, Director General of Sports Services, T.R. Ministry of Youth and Sports; Nese Gundogan, Secretary General of the Turkish National Olympic Committee; Bernard Arkas, Vice President of Arkas Holding, which is the Logistics Sponsor of Paris 2024 Olympic Games; Ali Koc, President of Fenerbahce Sports Club; Selma Altay Rodopman, Member of the Board of Directors of Fenerbahce Sports Club; Bora Bahcetepe, Member of the Board of Directors of Galatasaray Sports Club and Ayca Ark, Sailing Branch Manager of Galatasaray Sports Club.

SPARC #5665: A Team Making a Difference in Sustainability with Innovative Approaches

Arkas Line, which has taken on the sponsorship of the SPARC #5665 robotics team within the scope of sustainability projects, is a team founded by mentor Abidin Zenginler in 2015. The team works to increase students’ interest in the STEM field and encourage them for their future careers. Last year, they won the Woodie Flowers and Industrial Design awards at the FRC1?Halic Regional competition.

The high school students of the SPARC #5665 robotics team proudly represented our country in Houston, where the FRC finals took place from April 17-20, 2024. Among 600 teams from around the world, SPARC #5665 stood out as one of the best teams reflecting the FIRST? dynamics, earning the Judges Award for their unique efforts and performance.
