Sustainability Meeting in Italy

For the fifth time, RHI Magnesita and MIRECO hosted the Sustainability Conference in Italy last week, bringing together experts and industry leaders to address pressing environmental issues. The picturesque city of Brescia served as the backdrop for the conference, underlining Italy's commitment to preserving its natural and cultural heritage.

Thank you Daniele Giunta and roberta cavagna for organizing in collaboration with the Sales team Steel Europe West and North at RHI Magnesita, and to all presenters making this meeting to be an informative and constructive event!

Presentations with many topics to learn and share regarding #sustainability, #decarbonization, #recycling, #circularity and #greensteel were held.

Discussions focused on innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions, improve the uptake of recycled products and promote sustainable concepts. This interesting event brought together industry leaders, customers and internal teams to explore advanced sustainability in the steel and refractory industry.

For MIRECO , represented by Nenad Tanasic , this was another great opportunity to showcase the innovative CERO WASTE concept and highlight the importance of waste reduction and circular economy principles in our industry. As well as the high effort and quality of the circular raw materials in our refractories.

The meeting concluded with a call to action, urging all participants to foster international collaboration and implement the discussed strategies in their respective regions. The collective enthusiasm and shared commitment to a greener future highlighted the conference’s success, paving the way for a more sustainable world.
