In partnership with Women's Foundation of Boston, we recently held another virtual panel for members of our Women In Nonprofit (WIN) Network Boston! This panel was moderated by Red Sox Foundation Executive Director Rebekah Splaine Salwasser and featured nonprofit leaders Vanessa Calderon-Rosado, Bonnie Bertolaet, and Catherine D'Amato for a discussion on how to best recruit, engage and retain a diverse board. A special thanks to our partner Bank of America for supporting our WIN Network!?

We are so proud to have one of our Red Sox Scholars, Tristan Webster, now working as our Red Sox Foundation Fellow! This past year Tristan has acted as an incredible mentor to our current Scholars and we are excited for him to continue his fellowship this year. Keep up the great work, Tristan!
One year ago yesterday, I began my Fellowship with the Red Sox Foundation, marking a decade since my own induction into the Red Sox Scholars program in 2014. Over the past year, I've had the privilege of serving as an academic, social, and financial mentor to more than sixty Red Sox Scholars—just as Lidia Zayas and others supported me during my high school years. This experience has deepened my appreciation for nonprofit work at Fenway and shown me the vital role each of us plays in driving the Foundation’s mission forward. Teamwork is essential to the success of this organization, and I strive every day to be the best team player possible. A heartfelt thank you to Emily McGrail, Eve Bourjolly, and Lidia Zayas for believing in me and extending my Fellowship through 2025. It is an honor to contribute to the success of our Red Sox Scholars, just as others did for me.

School is back in session and so is our Fenway Park Learning Lab presented by the MassMutual Foundation! Thank you to volunteers from MassMutual for joining us at Fenway Park today to stuff backpacks for thousands of Boston Public School 6th graders who will join us for tours this school year. This partnership allows us to ensure young people have access to Fenway Park and can experience it in a fun, new way together with their classmates.

It was an honor to serve as moderator for the Red Sox Foundation and Biogen Foundation, Health Equity Panel for Greater Boston. The panel consisted of Dr. Denise De Las Nueces from Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Dr. Monera Wong from the The Dimock Center, Dominique Morgan from Health Leads, and Dr. Bisola Ojikutu from Boston Public Health Commission. Everyone who attended the event at Fenway Park, was enthralled by these four women of color whose work is #Inspiring, and whose words were #Impactful. Thank you to Matt McCarthy and Tyler Petropulos from the Red Sox Foundation for all your invaluable work behind the scenes...and in front. Special thanks to Linda Henry CEO of Boston Globe Media for her words to close out the event.

Earlier today, we co-hosted a special panel in partnership with the Biogen Foundation to focus on how we can continue to build health equity in our communities. We were grateful to be able to create a space for authentic conversation between health experts, nonprofit and for-profit entities who are paramount to the future of health and ensuring it’s accessible for our most vulnerable and underserved populations.

We had a very special Nike RBI Day at Fenway where we were able to celebrate our youth baseball and softball players and coaches! The Red Sox Foundation's Nike RBI program provides team equipment, uniforms, field access and umpires at no cost to players and their families, and supports a cohort of dedicated coaches who use baseball and softball as a platform to teach core values of teamwork, respect and leadership.
