Professor Micah Crump and I are happy to announce the publication of our newly released book, "Sustainability and the Future of Work and Entrepreneurship for the Underserved." The book is the culmination of a year long effort to collaborate with global scholars, practitioners, industry leaders, and government officials. The vision was to share a diverse group of thought leaders on the challenges and opportunities on the Future of Work and Entrepreneurship.
Our call for Chapters produced overwhelming results; there were 70 proposals, and over 40 chapter submissions for the intended 15 Chapter volume. While we could only include 19 Chapters in this publication, the publisher, IGI has agreed to publish next year a second book, "Socio-Economic Disparities, Vulnerable Communities, and the Future of Work and Entrepreneurship".
It is our intention with these series of books to expand and empower the diverse voices, challenges, and opportunities in the Future of Work. Our authors are from countries on several continents with varied experiences, and have a passion to "change the world." Several present innovations in eco-systems, public policy, and strategy.
The opening Chapter in this book is on the future of leadership and empathy. As we begin to shape a new post-pandemic global economy, how will we lead? Business as usual will not erradicate poverty nor will it eliminate the wealth gap. Can we change? Will we change? Our authors in 19 chapters share their vision of a new better future. Links to the book are in the first comment column, however the book will be available on Amazon and other global outlets in the coming weeks.
