Sustainability Evolution: Shifting Our Own Patterns
How about a shift in consciousness to change our trajectory?
Our current sustainability trajectory is anything but rosy. We take so many steps to remedy our situation - and where do we find ourselves? Still working within the same operating framework.?
In my work, I learned about the significance of shifting patterns. And when talking about sustainability and changing trajectories, this is all about shifting patterns. Otherwise, the rules of our ‘operating system’ – and the reason for the trajectory – will lead us along the same path.
Years ago, when I first woke up to the extent of our global problems, the first thought I had was that to prevent a global crisis, humanity would need to change its consciousness. Sure, let’s just change human consciousness. And with that, I put the thought to the side and focused on deepening my understanding, and practice, of ‘sustainability’. After all, there must be a pragmatic approach within our paradigm.
Now, I am beginning to realize what it means to shift consciousness. It is different than what I ever expected, and somehow, it was always clear: it is a shift in patterns in my own life. What I perceive reflects who I am. If I wish to perceive something different, then I need to deepen my awareness of what I see and why I see it.
The mystics really had, and I believe have, their finger on the pulse.?
Does this mean that I can change myself, and the world I see, overnight? There is more work to it than that. The shift is often subtle, sometimes dramatic. Some patterns are relatively light to shift, others have deep roots and require a different effort.?
As a shamanic practitioner, it is my work to look at these questions in myself on an ongoing basis. The more I learn about this process, the more I see the change in my presence. This allows me to consequently guide others in their process.?

What I am learning is that all change comes from within. How can I expect to see a world free of suffering, fully equitable, and in deep harmony, if I struggle to feel this within myself? I work with myself, and with others, to feel inner resonance, to understand why there is a challenge to be more authentic, and to explore actions to accompany the shift.?
The three most common tools I use – and offer to others – are:
1.???? to have conscious breathing;
2.???? to be aware of being triggered;
3.???? to focus on the task at hand and to step back from the projections of the mind.?
What constitutes a shift in consciousness – and who created the rules about how to achieve it? There is an abundance of ancient wisdom on this. And, if we choose, each one of us may walk this path.?
It is always an honor to accompany others on their journey –
