Sustainability Champion for CDI World
To further reinforce its commitment to protecting the environment and the welfare of future generations the CDI World Group has appointed a Sustainability Champion. This new role will have responsibility for monitoring environmental impact and progressing smart sustainability practice across the company’s strategic bases in the USA, UK and Singapore.
All three offices have achieved or are working towards ISO 14001 certification for their Environmental Management Systems. This international standard enables the tracking of the entire supply chain’s environmental performance at all stages – from project planning through to post-event disposal of exhibit materials. It will also play a major part in helping the company achieve its Net Zero target.
CDI World creates exhibit structures for major brands and agencies worldwide. It has long been aware of the carbon footprint and environmental impacts generated by events and mitigates these by, for example, donating discarded exhibit components for recycling, and also through the use of modular booths or stands that can be reused many times.
“The new Champion role, together with the ISO 14001 digital paper trail, will help us to build on the progress we’ve already made in becoming more sustainable,” said Mathew Hance , Sustainability Champion for CDI World. “It also means we can provide clients with the detailed information they need to meet their own environmental goals.”
With extensive project management experience and certified in Sustainability Awareness by the UK’s Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), the new Sustainability Champion will be well-prepared to take on this challenging position.
