Susie Wiles Makes History as First Female White House Chief of Staff Under President-Elect Trump

In a historic move, Susie Wiles has been named as the first female White House chief of staff. A seasoned GOP strategist with a career that spans over four decades, Wiles has been pivotal in shaping Republican campaigns, including President-elect Donald Trump’s recent win.

Who Is Susie Wiles? GOP Strategist with Deep Roots

Susie Wiles is no stranger to political campaigns. Her career began with former President Ronald Reagan, where she served as a campaign scheduler during his 1980 bid. Since then, Wiles has worked on major Republican campaigns, including Trump’s successful presidential campaigns in 2016 and 2020, along with managing Florida Governor Rick Scott’s 2010 campaign.

Wiles is widely recognized for her disciplined, effective approach, often preferring to stay out of the spotlight. Her ability to keep campaigns organized and on track has earned her respect within GOP circles.

Trump's Praise for Wiles’ Impact on His Campaign

At his victory celebration in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump personally thanked Wiles and highlighted her influential role in his campaign. “Susie likes to stay in the background," he said, “but she’s not in the background. She’s tough, smart, and innovative.” He went on to express his confidence in her as his chief of staff, noting that Wiles would “make our country proud.”

Why Wiles Is a Strong Choice for White House Chief of Staff

Veteran GOP strategist John Brabender emphasized that Wiles is uniquely suited for the role. According to Brabender, Wiles has an exceptional relationship with Trump and a clear understanding of her role in supporting the president’s vision. Her extensive experience and respect within Republican circles add to her qualifications.

Wiles’ approach to staffing will also influence the White House’s operation. Brabender stated, “Everyone who works for Susie in the White House will be vetted by her, which means we’ll have nothing but the best.” This commitment to a strong, cohesive team is expected to enhance Trump’s White House operations.

A Historic Appointment: Breaking Barriers in the White House

Susie Wiles’ appointment as the first female chief of staff marks a milestone in U.S. history. In a field traditionally dominated by men, her position signals progress toward more inclusive leadership at the highest level of government.

It's so simple to critic president Trump (former 45th and new 47th) but promotion of Susie Wiles is also the evidence of a kind of modernism. I checked in France ; we had never a woman with such reponsability (General Secretary of presidence = first collaborator of the president). ?? Congratulations to Susie?

How strange, isn't he supposed to be a misogynist? And yet appointed women to key positions within his administration.
