This was a JV with a really lovely lady called Kathy. You are not supposed to have favourites but she and her husband were such great people to work with it was a real pleasure.  

Hoping to purchase the property for £155k we had some competition so had to go up to £157k to secure the deal. We knew it was in a great location and the demand for properties in the area was strong so we didn’t worry.  

Renovation cost £15,200 and it sold for £205k – not a bad profit but I think its important to note that this was not the sale price we had hoped for. Following our thorough research before accepting the deal we had expected it to sell for £210k but ended up settling for £205k in the end.  

But… it was a nice little deal. We split the profit 50:50 – It enabled me to invest in my personal property portfolio and Kathy and her husband went on to invest in more property having learnt a lot from this project. A lovely end to the story if I do say so myself.
