To survive as a business professional starts with thriving as a supportive human being.

To survive as a business professional starts with thriving as a supportive human being.

It seems we now start to realise what and who are essentials.

We realise our chance and the fragility to live in an interconnected world and we now understand the importance of connecting with others on a deeper level.

In the world we created, most of our rapport is transactional and some of us seem to have forgotten that being empathic, authentic, genuine and caring is free and vital.

Giving without expecting something in return is the true meaning of supporting others.

This situation is a tragedy for all the lives impacted in a way or another. Some might have forgotten that life is uncertain. This uncertainty is what makes it frail and beautiful at the same time. In this brutal and global situation, there is not much you can control except for the following:

1. Look after yourself, your tribe and then expand to larger circles

2. Reflect on what matters to you, in your life and take action towards these goals

3. Respect all beings

4. Be kind to yourself and others

5. Love

I dream sometimes that this crisis could become a worldwide wake-up call to experiment life and that all these losses teach us something meaningful and impactful for our society. I trust we are all learning from it and I witness some amazing act of kindness. There are tons of great human beings out there giving their time and their expertise for the common good. Some also show tremendous resilience and reinventing themselves. Look for inspiration around you, it could come from the most modest place.

To the ones feeling lonely, depressed or lost; for the ones who lost their income or close tribe members, know that you are not alone. If you didn’t reach out yet, raise your voice today.

This is our responsibility not to wait for people to ask for help but to proactively look for the ones in need. To the strongest amongst you, connect every day with someone new.

To the ones in need, your tribe is here.

Great insights Claude - we need to nurture our connection to community and society at large if we are going to be able to get through this tough time, let alone the big sustainability challenges the world faces : )

"We need people to inspire and encourage us so we can inspire and encourage others" (Simon Sinek). Nice article, Claude and I hope you three fabulous humans are well?
