In today's fiercely competitive markets that are constantly evolving, the game has significantly changed from the way we knew it.  Marketers and Business Owners are challenged to find new ways to create a competitive advantage for their businesses.  In past times, business was all about the competition!  It was about being able to offer or do something that someone else could not.  Business was about knowing what your competitor did not know.  Then the internet was born changing life how we knew it in so many ways.

The internet has opened the flood gates of information and accessibility.  It has broken down many barriers to trade and created new challenges for businesses seeking success.  Information is so accessible there are hardly any 'trade secrets' left.  Advantages such as size and location have now been minimized as home businesses can offer competing services to large corporations with minimal overheads.  Business as we knew it has undoubtedly changed.

Despite all these dynamic changes in the market, some businesses are still stuck in the mindset of 'how it use to be'.  Entrepreneurs convince themselves of a monopoly of novelty which they far to often quickly discover doesn't exist.  Even when you do get it right, you can almost guarantee before you blink your eyes someone will be working on improving your novel idea.  How do you move forward is such an aggressive, evolving era of information abundance?
