Some go willingly, others go because they have to... others just go

There are a number of reasons why companies in our business are acquired. Usually, it's for the sales revenue or a specific niche that the buyer is looking to acquire. It is almost always that the big guys are feeding on the smaller.

I do see some smaller more nimble companies making their adjustments to technology and marketing changes more timely. Many of them have shifted to digital solutions and are using the internet as a positive resource. 

Having said all of that, a lot of the equipment that we offer is a direct result of the above environment in the printing industry.

I have several companies that we are working with that have a surplus of used equipment that is now available. Everything from the prepress, presses and the bindery to the delivery trucks. The newer, better equipment almost always is sold here in the States and the older more antiquated equipment most often ends up on a boat.
