Did you think hurricane season was winding down? Two weeks ago, Lee Hurricane Lee threatened the East Coast but impacted Canada more. This weekend, Tropical Storm Ophelia suddenly formed, prompting warnings from North Carolina to Massachusetts. Here's the track of this slow-moving storm:?
As of Friday afternoon, Ophelia has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph and is expected to make landfall in North Carolina as early as Saturday morning. Once inland, it will bring some heavy rain and gusty winds to the Mid-Atlantic region.

Additionally, as the storm gets closer to landfall in North Carolina, there will be a chance of severe storms that could produce isolated tornadoes.
