Suriname - Open for Business

On the 28-30 June 2022 over 2000 local, regional and international energy stakeholders are expected to come together in Paramaribo for the 2nd annual edition of the Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit and Exhibition. The event is hosted by Staatsolie with the full support and patronage of The Government of the Republic of Suriname through The Ministry of Natural Resources and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation.

Suriname is open for business and given the recent significant offshore hydrocarbons finds we see huge opportunities for our international and national partners and for the development of our natural resource wealth for the benefit for all. We believe in the importance of attracting foreign investment while promoting local entrepreneurship and capacity building and the important role of our annual industry event in facilitating both.

For over 40 years Staatsolie has been developing Suriname’s hydrocarbon potential over the full value chain, to generate electricity, and develop sustainable energy resources. As Staatsolie looks to continue its path to becoming a regional integrated energy company and Suriname a global oil producer SEOGS 2022 reinforces our Vision 2030 and helps lay the foundation and strategy for a collaborative, sustainable and inclusive energy future that enables societal, commercial and community prosperity.

We were happy to make a significant donation to the Surinamese Vaccination Fund from the revenues generated from SEOGS 2021 and with the industry’s support the organising committee of SEOGS 2022 look forward to doing much more this year.
