Surgical treatment of hilar cholangiocarcinoma: retrospective analysis
Surgical safety and outcomes are the primary considerations in evaluating the rationale for surgical management of hilar cholangiocarcinoma. In order to effectively reduce the risk of surgery for hilar cholangiocarcinoma and increase the rate of radical tumour resection, we have developed a planned-hepatectomy surgical treatment programme that helps to strike a balance between achieving radical tumour resection and managing the extent of surgical damage, ensuring a better prognosis for patients and a lower risk of surgical complications.
