faster inline scanning with higher resolution
All smartWLI systems are now available with new cameras. The higher speed of image acquisition enables the systems now a scanning up to 250 μm/s with 2.3 million measuring points or 120 μm/s with 5 million measuring points.
The scanning engine Speedytec uses the multiple teraflop power of a modern graphic board to calculate the 3D – data in real time. Advanced algorithms control the data quality of each single point and reduce the measuring noise on steep slopes and transparent objects.
The accelerated speed minimizes the influence of vibrations to the measuring results as well as the requirements for sample fixing. This is an important advantage for shop floor systems and enable the integration of sensors with nm resolution in production lines without vibration dumping.
Starting from 5x objectives is it possible to get with point densities below 2 μm more details as tactile systems with the radius of tactile probes starting from app. 2 … 3 μm. Single field areas up to app. 40 mm2 generate profile cuts with the necessary length of 4 mm without time consuming stitching. The software can generate tactile like profiles using morphological filters for ISO conform evaluation of roughness parameters.

7 年We are using MountainsMap from Digital Surf. The software can export *.stl meshes and support a vide range of various 3d formats. There is a 30 days free evaluation of the complete package possible: https://www.digitalsurf.com/en/formdemo.php. If you are interested I can provide a access to sample data including the evaluations.

7 年Sounds impressive. Beside the profiles - can you also export triangular meshes (e.g. PLY - Stanford Polygon)?
