How many ACRES of land are (on) the SURFACE of our shared planet?About 8-9 billion acres are farmed (land), but counting the watery surfaces, the mountainous regions, and the rocky soils, arable lands, marginal undeveloped lands, and cityscapes - how many acres?
Does one use TOPOLOGY to count land surface on upward and downward slopes?
Let's see some NUMBERS here and some rational justifications for any numbers offered in resolving this perplexing question.

10 年But I say land is anything that the sun can touch. I mean to sustain life or grow anything we need contact with sunlight. You can build up, but that creates a shadow -so space (land) is certainly a finite resource.

10 年A quick google search says 36 billion acres, But this article suggests only about a little over 20 billion or so is habitable as 40% of all land is being used for agriculture. That was is 2005 https://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/12/1209_051209_crops_map.html

10 年Does that mean if one person's food can come from 1 acre per year then the world can support 8-9 billion people.
