Surface Level Shit

There are lots of things that will happen that we won’t understand. But I don’t think that we should excuse ourselves from trying. I am one of those people who believe in looking for the meaning. In other words, I don’t settle for surface level shit. I dig. Look for the lesson. I walk away better than when I started. Let’s us begin…
It is easy for us to get caught up in the day to day drama of life. Many times, we blindly accept it. But I believe that is a mistake. Because beneath the surface, there is something going on. If you had ongoing symptoms for a physical ailment, you more than likely would see a professional. If you don’t, many times we end up getting worse. The stuff that is going on, on the surface, is giving us a message. So why wouldn’t we want to understand? I think many times, we don’t want bad news. Like staying in a “red flag” relationship, that many of us stayed in way too long. We just kept ignoring the signs.
The surface always leads to the source. But we don’t want to do the work. I get it. No one really wants to endure more pain. But here’s the thing. On the other side of pain is freedom. Freedom that the surface brought to our attention. Repeated failed relationships? Surface. Recurring pain? Surface. Emotional turmoil? Surface. The surface leads us to the source.
It's all connected. It all has meaning. Slow down and listen to what your mind, body and the universe are trying to tell you. We can repeat the patterns, or seek the progress. Which do you think you would be happier with? So get in tune with the natural rhythm of life. Force or flow? But in the end, there is really no surface level shit. Just lessons to be learned. And we can learn through fear and pain, or love and wisdom.?Either way, you'll find your strength in the struggle.?
