Surat Municipal Corporation: 6.3 MW Wind Power Tender in Gujarat; Sunrise Wind Wins New York's 4th Offshore Wind Solicitation And More...

The Surat Municipal Corporation has issued a tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a 6.3 MW (maximum capacity) Wind Power Plant, inclusive of all accessories and power evacuation facilities, as well as the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for the entire Wind Power Plant for up to 10 years.


Sunrise Wind is projected to finish by 2026, pending OREC negotiations, standard state and federal approvals, and ?rsted’s final investment decision, anticipated in Q2 2024. ?rsted will assume full ownership of Sunrise Wind from its current 50/50 joint venture partner Eversource, pending the signing of the OREC agreement, execution of long-form acquisition agreements with Eversource Energy , COP approval, and relevant regulatory clearances.


Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) has officially released a tender inviting bids for the supply of 600 megawatts (MW) of wind power from grid-connected projects. This initiative is part of a tariff-based competitive bidding strategy aimed at integrating more renewable energy into Mumbai’s power grid. The tender seeks to attract potential developers to contribute to the growing demand for clean and sustainable energy in the region, marking a significant step forward in AEML’s commitment to environmental sustainability and renewable energy adoption.


A recent development in the energy sector of Chhattisgarh has seen BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. (BRPL) file a petition seeking approval for the purchase of 100 MW of Wind Power through the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). The petition, filed under pertinent electricity regulations, aims to adopt a tariff for the purchase and obtain approval for the Power Sale Agreement (PSA) dated December 20, 2018.


Following the COP28 UAE announcement in Dubai, RWE and Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) have finalized their deal, with Masdar now owning 49% of the UK’s Dogger Bank South projects. Together, they will advance these key projects, with RWE leading development, construction, and operation.
