SUPREME COURT VERDICT ON SC/ST ATROCITY

The Supreme court gave a final verdict on the base of the SC/ST atrocities act. First of all, what is an SC/ST Atrocities Act? An Act to prevent the committing heinous crimes on Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. On the year before the Supreme court passes basic guidelines for SC/ST Atrocities act, those are,

FIR should be taken after a complete, clean and transparency preliminary enquiry.

Permission is taken from a senior superdient of police If a common man should be an arrest in sc/st case.

Permission is taken from a presiding officer of concern authority if any government official

Prime of ease evidence is must and should mandatory, If it fails to produce then there are chances of providing an anticipatory bail.

Above are the keynotes of SC/ST atrocities, but on the latest verdict also, The Bench of Justices Arun Mishra, Vineet Saran, and S. Ravindra Bhat had made it clear that it would neither upset the October 1 judgment nor dilute the stipulations of the act.
