Supporting Ukraine
Watching the invasion of Ukraine unfold has been horrifying and we are heartbroken for the people of Ukraine and for the many Twilions who have connections to the country.
Over the last few weeks, a cross-functional response team has been meeting daily to evaluate this highly dynamic situation and to ensure our teams are ready for escalations of any sort, including ones that could impact our employees in the region.
Caring for Twilions?
We’ve been working hard to ensure we’re doing all we can to respond as a company to support Ukraine and our employees impacted by this conflict. We’ve introduced an Emergency Support Leave for all of our employees affected by the crisis and a Military Reserve Leave Policy for colleagues in Estonia called up for military exercises; we are working on extending this for other employees who are called up. We’ve ensured that all Twilio employees in the region are secure and we will continue to monitor the situation should the conflict expand beyond Ukraine.??
We are also coordinating opportunities for Twilions around the globe to volunteer and support relief efforts and are supporting employee-driving initiatives. Additionally, we are extending a 2:1 match on all employee donations to support humanitarian efforts and get aid where it is needed the most right now.?
Restricting business with Russia
We will use our platform however we can to support Ukrainians and limit the Russian government’s ability to use communications as a weapon. We have suspended all new business in Russia, and we have terminated business with all known state-owned customers. We are doubling down on our efforts to monitor our platform to identify and block any misinformation before it reaches recipients, and we’re fully prepared to defend our platform against potential misuse or cyber-attacks.?

Twilio is complying with the sanctions and policies the United States is imposing in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including those sanctions and policies pertaining to specific individuals and institutions. We will continue to follow the evolving sanctions discussions nationally and globally and stand ready to adapt to those as needed.
Partnering with social impact organizations
We’re also providing free services through Twilio.org to NGOs supporting the humanitarian response. We are already working with organizations like the Norwegian Refugee Council, Docplanner, ZapytajLekarza, Della, and others who are using Twilio to connect Ukrainians with doctors, working with NGOs to deliver humanitarian aid from Poland, and we are working with partners that are using our WhatsApp APIs to provide crisis support to civilians in the region. If you are an NGO, non-profit, or volunteer group that is offering support,?please reach out to the Twilio.org team?if you'd like to partner on building solutions to aid in this crisis.
Moving forward
We will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate how Twilio can take additional action in support of Ukraine. We join the international community in expressing condemnation of senseless violence and sincere hope for a return to a peaceful and sovereign Ukraine.

2 年Russian govenment has not been and is not using any Twilio services, I'm 100% sure. However, ordinary people's accounts have been locked like my own, which I was planning to use for education purposes. This is pure hatred towards a particular nationality and will never help to stop this war.
