1. Biblical Counseling:
Counseling is needed in our life to help learn how to deal more effectively with situations such as depression, addiction and substance abuse, stress, problems with self-esteem, grief, issues related to mental and emotional health, family issues, marital problems, career problems, academic concerns, indiscipline among students and youths, and social vices or deviant behaviors.
Counseling can be defined as giving of advice; to recommend; or to urge the acceptance of an action (Webster dictionary). Strong’s concordance defines counseling as ‘giving advice; to deliberate or resolve; to speak a matter; a consultation, a session; to sit down together; to give guidance or a plan.
