Supporting Nurses of Tomorrow: The $10K Match Challenge

In early November, the Arizona Foundation for the Future of Nursing (AzFFN), kicked off the Nurses of Tomorrow 10K Match Challenge.

AzFFN’s 2025 scholarships were awarded at our Phoenix Regional Townhall in September. These students, Bliss Olorunfemi and Francesca Maglalang, were each awarded $2500 to assist them in financing their nursing education.

As Bliss and Francesca shared their career dreams with us, we had an idea. What if we could provide even more financial aid to nursing students? In the face of a nursing shortage, how much of an impact could we have on Arizona’s next generation nurses? And how would that shape the future of the nursing workforce?

That is where the “Nurses of Tomorrow: The 10K Match Challenge” was born.

Through December 31st, every dollar (up to $10k) donated to AzFFN will be doubled and given back to students through scholarships in 2025. This means if we hit our goal of raising $10,000 before the end of the year, that will allow us to provide at least $20,000 in financial aid to student nurses in Arizona. That’s $15k more than last year alone.

Any donor who gives $300 or more will be invited to an in-person VIP Happy Hour in the Spring of 2025. All donors, regardless of amount, will be entered into a raffle to receive a FREE AzNA membership for one year, to be awarded in January of 2025.
