Supporting Keys impacts generations

When Joan Blackmon got involved with Keys for Kids Ministries (formerly Children’s Bible Hour) 25 years ago, the goal was to keep her three children in the Word of God every day. Today, she’s supporting Keys for Kids for the next generation—her grandchildren.

Joan ordered Keys for Kids devotionals for each of her three adult children’s families. Joan’s daughter-in-law wasn’t raised in church. “My daughter-in-law told me the kids are so excited when [Keys for Kids] comes in the mail. It’s like they’re receiving a million dollars. They carry it around and are always so eager to read it at night.”

Now Joan is a Keys for Kids financial supporter. She’s chosen to partner with us as a donor to ensure Keys for Kids remains available for her family and
many others.

“After I heard my daughter-in-law’s story and the impact it’s having on our grandkids now,” she said through her tears, “and remembering the impact it had on my own kids, I wanted to support you.”

Joan was excited “to see how God is faithful to His Word and how it is possible to carry it on to another generation. My heart is rejoicing.”

“[Keys for Kids] is a vehicle to impart spiritual truth to kids at an early age. It’s not just reading Scripture. It uses real-life stories to teach biblical truth,” said Joan. Which is just what Jesus did.
