Supporting the Coalition Against Online Violence

Okay, online abuse in any form really pisses me off, even more so when it's directed against serious journalists.

The folks at the Coalition Against Online Violence represents some tens of organizations standing up against harassment, first focusing on assistance for women journalists, who perhaps get the worst of it.

They're led by the International Women's Media Foundation, PEN America, and Right To be, which increasingly offer real help.

If you need help like this, or, want to help, please check out what they have to say.

In their words:

The Coalition Against Online Violence is a collection of global organizations working to find better solutions for women journalists facing online abuse, harassment and other forms of digital attack. The Coalition is funded by Craig Newmark Philanthropies and founded by the International Women’s Media Foundation.
In addition to seeking solutions for online violence, the Coalition offers journalists collective support, bolstering their digital security and empowering the news media at large to keep their employees safer online. Check out our Resources section to find the latest research, guides and tools to help journalists and newsrooms combat online violence.
