Supporting business and supporting lives

Trade & Export Finance Ltd is an organisation which contributes in no small measure to the economy through business growth and job creation. In addition to this, our team is extremely passionate about contributing to the charity sector. This year we have chosen Breast Cancer Care as our charity of the year and will be carrying out various fund raising initiatives including completing The Great Midlands Fun Run.

We have already raised ￡500 for the charity through our Annual Reception in March where we held a ‘blind raffle’ for those attending. We hope that our further efforts will help us reach our target of raising ￡1000 over the course of the year.

Since its inception in 1973, Breast Cancer Care has helped provide care, support and information to people affected by breast cancer. Breast Cancer is becoming more conquerable thanks to the hard work being put in by researchers. One in eight women will suffer from breast cancer in their life.   Around 85% of those affected will overcome cancer and live at least five years after recovery.

We have chosen this cause as it is an issue which is very dear to TAEFL, a director has recently recovered from breast cancer and will be completing the Great Midlands Fun Run to raise funds and prove cancer is beatable.

Support our charity on the 5th of June at Sutton Coldfield

The Great Midlands Fun Run will be taking place on 5th June at Sutton Park from 11am. In 2015, 267 charities and voluntary groups signed up to raise funds and awareness.  The team at TAEFL is extremely excited yet nervous about completing the 8.5 mile run but we realise it will be a great opportunity to contribute to a cause we value, have fun and meet with likeminded organisations. Some of us could do with a bit more exercise as well!

Bell Cornwall and Campbell & Fletcher are two organisations who will be joining us for the run and are also passionate about the cause. Both bodies represent the recruitment sector and in addition to bringing in committed members of staff, they share our social vision. Friends and family of the companies have also been invited to run with us and, in total, we have a team of 20.

If you are in the area on the 5th, we would love you all to come and support us from the side-lines! We will be wearing specially designed bright orange, T-shirts so look out for us!
