Support Us in Electing Michael Moses!

Greetings to you from the Michael Moses Campaign in Cariboo-Chilcotin!

We have been working steadily over the past months to develop a winning team and to get all our ducks ??????in a row for the official election period on September 21.

In today’s letter:

  • What we've been up to.
  • Healthcare update.
  • How you can help us win this election!
  • Burgers n Beer with Michael Moses in Cache Creek: Thursday, August 15th!

What we've been up to:

We’ve been firing on all cylinders! Here’s some of what we’ve been up to:

We’ve been fundraising like crazy and have half of what we need in our campaign account.

We’ve ordered lawn signs and road signs.

We’ve ordered our first brochure.

We finalized an agreement for an office space in Williams Lake, though we’re still searching for an available space in 100 Mile.

Michael has been out and about at “millions” of community events all over the riding, meeting voters and having important conversations.

Our canvassing team has been knocking on doors in Williams Lake. As soon as we can confirm volunteers in 100 Mile and in other communities, we’ll be knocking on doors there, too!

And our communications team has been working closely with Michael to get our BC NDP messages out through social media posts across the riding and the province.

Healthcare update:

Michael has had a busy few weeks. The Cariboo Memorial Hospital has been struggling with staffing and scheduling. While the other parties hold rallies to complain, Michael has been actually doing the work and having regular meetings and calls with our BC NDP Minister of Health, Adrian Dix. This month, with the help of so many organizations and individuals, we’ve been able to keep the hospital scheduled to be staffed for the first 10 days while hiring 3 more RNs and family doctors! Several of our friends and family have already received their calls that they are being assigned to a family doctor.

This is what action instead of just words does.

John Rustad announced his BC Conservative health care plan. Inside their plan: privatizing healthcare with the biggest healthcare cuts in BC history - $4.1 BILLION. You can’t do this without firing doctors and nurses and causing wait times to skyrocket.

This is at a time when we should be investing more in our healthcare system when we are trying to hire more doctors and nurses and invest in the infrastructure to ensure that we have a quality public healthcare system.

While the province, the Cariboo Regional District , City of Williams Lake , Interior Health Authority , and so many others are working around the clock to prevent extra closures, what does John Rustad want to do? He wants to privatize our healthcare system, and he wants to take 4.1 BILLION dollars out of it.

That’s John Rustad’s Conservative health care plan. That’s it.

I don’t know about you, but that’s pretty scary!

We need to keep hiring doctors and nurses, not fire them.

You can help us win this election!

And here is how:

  • Donate, donate, donate. Look at your own budget and decide when you can maximize your allowable amount of $1480 for 2024. We have 9 weeks to go before the election.
  • Volunteer to make phone calls -- requesting donations, looking for volunteers, finding sign locations, and letting people know about special events.
  • Volunteer to doorknock with Michael and the team. We have beautiful orange T-shirts to wear, and we’ll provide all the training you need.
  • Drive Michael to and from canvassing shifts and special events.
  • Offer to staff a table at an event.
  • Lending tables, chairs, and other equipment (we’ll send out a list) can help set up our campaign office.
  • Offer to staff the campaign office one day a week.
  • Study our handy sign manual, then help install large road signs throughout the riding from early to mid-September.
  • Monitor those signs and be ready to repair weather and other damage throughout the campaign.
  • Learn how to access lawn sign requests and deliver signs to those homes throughout the campaign.
  • Invite Michael to a coffee party or potluck at your home and encourage your neighbours to meet him.
  • Once the campaign office opens, help to coordinate one-pot suppers and other goodies for the canvassers.
  • Please clear your calendar for the week before October 19, especially that day, to help us with advance polling and election-day tasks.
  • And you can also clear your calendar for the week immediately following October 19 so that you can pick up lawn and road signs and help clean up the office(s).

If you can help with ANY of these campaign jobs, please email us at:

or signup at our fancy new website:

There’s much more to do, and you can count on Michael Moses and David Eby to fight for what matters to people.
