Support for pregnant women in Gaza | Mobile clinics offer hope amid war in Sudan | more
United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
Ensuring rights and choices for all since 1969
This week, some 50,000 pregnant women are struggling to access essential health care amid the conflict in Gaza. UNFPA is working with partners to provide life-saving sexual and reproductive health services and supplies. UNFPA Executive Director Dr. Natalia Kanem calls for "immediate, unimpeded humanitarian access so that food, medicines, water and fuel can reach everyone in need." In Sudan, as the conflict reaches the six-month mark, midwives are at the heart of a range of efforts to care for women and girls, including solar-powered hospitals. In Libya, after the devastating, dam-bursting floods of Storm Daniel, UNFPA is supporting mobile medical teams, maternity wards, psychosocial teams and safe spaces for survivors. Thanks for reading.

1 年Dear compassionate souls, On that fateful day, I never imagined bidding farewell to my happiness, security, stability, and peace. Suddenly, my life turned into a nightmare, a reality many Palestinians like me face in Gaza amidst the relentless ravages of war. Despite enduring seven consecutive wars, I've clung to hope, resisting with every fiber of my being. But now, I stand before you, a mother of two, stripped of everything I held dear. The declaration of war shattered my world, leaving me and my family homeless overnight. The horrors I witnessed haunt me—the sight of children and shattered limbs, reminders of the terror we fled. Now, we seek refuge in makeshift tents, battling freezing cold and harsh conditions, surviving on meager canned food. I've exhausted all savings, unable to afford basic necessities. My children suffer from malnutrition, and I'm powerless to ease their pain. With a heavy heart, I implore you for help. Your generosity can spark a glimmer of hope amid our darkest days. Together, we can rebuild shattered lives, restoring dignity. Please, extend a helping hand to a mother in need. Your kindness could be the lifeline we desperately seek. ?? 1 年What a pity, with the presence of all these international human rights organizations and the UN Security Council resolutions and their outcomes calling for an immediate cessation of the war, but what is happening is catastrophic, and every minute we see lives being lost at every moment, and no strict punishments are being taken for all these evil gang of bloodsuckers. But in some countries we see sanctions and boycotts issued against others, and both positions are not equal. Why?? ?? ?? Let's create a boycott campaign for everyone support Israel's + UN + UK's + Euro Courtiers until stop this war and to be issued by International human rights + UN Security Council otherwise they will be in charge in this war if not issued by them.

1 年War always brings dramatic consequences wherever it takes place. A boon especially for pregnant and breastfeeding women who are vulnerable from the start.
