In the UK today, an estimated five children in every classroom has a mental health problem. A quarter of 17 year-old girls have self-harmed in the last year while suicide remains the single biggest killer of boys and young men. But things can get better.?
Young Minds provides young people with tools to look after their mental health. They also empower adults to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives. And they give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in.
They're the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health. Young Minds wants to see a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health, and all young people get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
Some ways you can help:
1) Raise awareness of Young Minds among young people who may need them, by sharing this post widely on your socials,
2) Carve a pumpkin with your child* or carer/parent/guardian* (and cook and eat it)
3) Post a pic of your pumpkin on your Instagram profile, tag @YoungMindsUK and use hashtag #YoungMindsPumpkin so other young minds can see it. Like and share your favourite Young Minds pumpkins too,
4) If you can spare a £1 or two, feel free to donate here?https://bit.ly/3vMpfdw
Looking forward to seeing your pumpkin
