In Support of Memorial Day...
In support of Memorial Day, colleagues and I had the honor of attending the Massachusetts Fallen Heros 9th Memorial Dinner. This annual event brings together Gold Star families as well as corporate and civic leaders to raise funds for programs and services that benefit Gold Star families and veterans in Massachusetts. Keynote speaker Allie Emond, Gold Star wife of Sergeant First Class Eric Michael Emond, discussed her husband's legacy and the support that Massachusetts Fallen Heros has given to the Gold Star community.
Following the dinner, fellow veterans and colleagues attended the rededication of the Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial. This event was attended by Gold Star family members, elected officials, and the general public. The ceremony was held at the memorial in Boston’s Innovation District.
