It's important to make time for yourself. Especially these days. Mental health is just as important as physical health, so we need to make an effort every day to make sure we are mentally and emotionally in a good place. For some people this might mean meditating every day, others it may be yoga, therapy, music, etc. Everyone has a preference on what makes them feel relaxed and rejuvenated, and most don't know what that is until they try something new. Not sure what you need in your life to help your overall well-being? Luckily, we live in a place that has a wide range of healing art businesses that you can experience.

Carolina Yoga Company offers a wide range of classes where you can embrace your inner-yogi and challenge yourself. Carolina Yoga has adapted to COVID-19 rules and guidelines so its participants can revitalize their mind, body and soul safely. The studio encourages a space for connection, community and balance through its Pilates, Slow Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga for Daily Life classes. Each class varies in difficulty and emphasizes different techniques to heal. Whether you're interested in being able to finally touch those toes (literally me), increase strength and muscle tone, release tension, or calm your breathing, Carolina Yoga Company has it all. Check out this page for the schedule and more information about each class.

Being an athlete, my whole life has revolved around ensuring my physical health was elite. I've recently learned the importance of taking care of your mind and it's changed my life. I am always looking for new ways to train my mind and provide myself with self-care days, so please feel free to drop some places that I might have missed or new practices to try out!
