SUPPORT LA TRANSAZIONE
We encourage readers and friends to support production of a short independent film, La Transazione (The Transaction) here in the Hudson Valley without any tax credits or state subsidies. Set in Ellis Island is 1893, La Transazione tells the story of three sisters who travel to America for arranged marriages. It is a human story that deeply parallels today’s immigration crisis.
La Transazione is being produced by Logan Rando. Lora Lee Ecobelli wrote the screenplay and will direct the film this spring at the Reher Center for Immigration Culture & History in Kingston. Logan Rando is a graduate of Wells College and is devoted to film and videography. Lora Lee Ecobelli is head of the Blue Horse Repertory, teaches acting at Sage, and has appeared in off Broadway, Broadway, and regional theatres for over 35 years. One word that best describes this new team when it come to their work: PASSION.
You can help in two ways: first, make a donation to help cover the costs of production using the GoFundMe link below; second help us spread the word in social media and personally to friends and family. Help grow the arts here in the Hudson Valley, an important part of our heritage. Here is the Link to GoFundMe:
