I am grateful to the role sports have played in my life from a young age. I learned so much through sports about being a teammate, being a leader and being a person who wanted to perform better.
Sports developed my competitive spirit and I found an outlet with physical movement and mental growth.
Fast forward to the organization that I'm a member of and this group has raised more than $1,000,000 for Minneapolis and St. Paul Public School Athletics programs. This cause is important to me because uniforms and equipment are being cut from budgets. Sports are a place for everyone to get connected to personal pride and school spirit. Yes, music and arts are important but through Dunkers the community and other sports team have come together to make a difference.
