Support for Educators
#Teachers & #educators, I know some of you are struggling with this new normal. First off, thank you for all you do and take on so willingly. You have handled this crisis with courage, hope, and strength. There is not anything a teacher can't do, for they do it from the heart and are fueled by a fire that most can't see, measure, or sometimes even understand.
There are a lot of resources going around right now and the overwhelm of lists and freebies is understandably, too much.
But there is a resource I highly recommend. It is supported by the The LEGO Foundation and the brainchild of two rockin' women with their hands in education on the Pre-K and elementary level, as well as K-12 and undergraduate level. AnnMarie Thomas recently won the LEGO Foundation LEGO Prize awarded at the LEGO Idea conference and Carly Ciarrocchi is a writer and hosts many children's TV shows.
They both have teamed up to support teachers during the coronavirus crisis. It's support FOR YOU. NO massive resources shared, unless you ask for resources. NO dos and don'ts, just two online meet-ups everyday to talk and share your day. It's is a great check-in and it's refreshing to hear from teachers & educators going through this from all over the world.
Calls are at 10 am EST and 10 pm EST. Check it out and see if it helps. Lots of different perspectives and voices.
