Boosting Cash Flow for Employers
The Boosting Cash Flow for Employers measure will deliver up to $25,000 tax free back to small and medium businesses with an annual turnover under $50 million that employ staff, providing temporary cash flow support. Enhancing the Instant Asset Write-Off
The Instant Asset Write-Off threshold has been increased from $30,000 to $150,000 and expanded to include businesses with an annual turnover of less than $500 million (up from $50 million). Supporting Apprentices and Trainees
The Federal Government is helping small businesses retain their apprentices and trainees. Eligible employers can apply for a wage subsidy of 50% of the apprentice’s or trainee’s wage paid during the nine months from 1 January 2020 to?30 September 2020. Where a small business is not able to retain an apprentice, the subsidy will be available to a new employer.?Read more

To assist businesses experiencing financial difficulty as a result of COVID-19, the ATO is implementing a series of relief options, including those outlined below.

Payment Deferrals
If you or your business has been impacted by COVID-19, the ATO can work with you to defer some payments and vary instalments that are due by up to four months. These payments may include income tax, activity statements (including PAYG instalments), Fringe Benefit Tax and excise payments.?Read more

Monthly GST Credits
If you are currently on a quarterly reporting GST cycle, you may elect to change your reporting to monthly. This way, your business can obtain quicker access to the GST refunds to which you are entitled.
