Support Bayside Sea Scouts' Trip to Jamboree in Adelaide

Local Wynnum Scouts need your help!

This year a record number of local kids from Bayside Sea Scouts are fundraising to go to Jamboree 2019 and they need your help to get to Adelaide!

Why you should help…

Scouts helps local youth grow into great people - responsible, caring and community-minded young adults. 

We do this by providing safe, fun, outdoor activities, participation in community activities, teaching practical life skills, and providing opportunities to develop leadership, dedication and personal responsibility.  

One major opportunity where these kids get to put self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, leadership skills and many life skills into action is at Jamboree.  It’s where they really get an opportunity to grow. 

Some of these kids have challenging circumstances within their families, including chronic illness, drug addiction or serious financial hardship, so attendance at Jamboree won’t happen without financial help for them.   

We have a fundraising target of$29,000 dollars to send our 11 Scouts and a leader to Jamboree and so far we’ve raised about $15,000 through sausage sizzles and other events.  

We’re hoping you could make a tax deductible donation to the Jamboree fund to help us ensure that these 11 local kids get to experience the fun and personal growth that Jamboree provides.    

Like Bill Gates, David Attenborough, Dick Smith, Sir Richard Branson, Venus Williams, Daniel Radcliffe and Dick Smith, who were all Scouts, you’ll be helping develop young adults who are the future leaders, innovators, business people and caring members in our Wynnum Manly community.
