Support for the Asian community

I’m shocked and appalled by the news of violence targeting Asians and Asian-Americans in the US. This country is giving me a lot, and I'm often amazed by its diversity, and openness. However I still don’t quite understand how the land of opportunity can also be a land of hatred, and racism. As an immigrant myself, moving to the country where everyone was once an immigrant not so long ago, I never imagined the levels of racial tension and violence I’ve seen in the past few years.

I'm even more disappointed to realize that violent acts targeting people of Asian origin are also on the rise in Europe, where I come from.

Front has at least 30% of employees of Asian descent and it breaks my heart to hear that they’re scared for their families, if not for themselves, or are made to feel like they don’t belong. It goes without saying that Front and myself are standing with the targeted communities. My priority is to make sure that our employees feel safe and supported. Fronteers, if you’re reading this, rest assured that we are here to help you through this. I believe in everyone’s right to work happier, and I can’t imagine the past week’s events have made that easy for you.

My hope is that the longer term trend is pushing for less and less ignorance and hatred, but in the meantime, our collective duty is to remain vigilant and speak up when it’s time to. Here are some great resources to report racism, hate, harassment, or marginalization of any kind:

Thank you, Mathilde.
