Takeaways from our event, “Le 5 à 7 des achats”

Thank you to all those who joined us at our recent in-person event, ‘Le 5 à 7 des achats: le rendez-vous de la communauté achats au Québec’.

With 110 individuals in attendance, the event allowed us to learn about current trends in the procurement industry, and we hope that you had the chance to connect with fellow procurement professionals in attendance.

For those who couldn’t attend in person, here are a couple of takeaways from the night’s panels:

Panel 1: Supplier Diversification

  • Supplier diversification can comprise several strategies such as identifying primary and secondary suppliers, testing partnerships with new suppliers through strategic one-off projects and maintaining accurate data on supplier performance.
  • It can be valuable to experiment with both local and international suppliers to stay resilient as currencies fluctuate, have suppliers close to your international customers and comply with various international regulations.
  • When evaluating suppliers, communication is highly important. Speak with suppliers, allow them to provide feedback on difficulties, share your ideal criteria for future suppliers and even tour their facilities to gain further insight that is often lost in quantitative analyses.

Panel 2: Dealing with the Skilled Talent Shortage

  • Younger employees strongly prioritize work-life balance. Employers should look into hybrid work options that allow employees to achieve this balance.? 15% of workers changed positions or industries during the pandemic. Workers are looking for roles that motivate them, allow them to grow and compensate them fairly, even if it means exploring industries outside their area of expertise.
  • Younger generations take into account company values in their employment decisions. Companies’ marketing campaigns should also focus on ‘HR marketing’ and sharing their workplace values with potential candidates.
  • Young workers highly value recognition on the job-- salary increases, promotions to leadership roles, investment in learning further skills-- and are more likely to stay with companies they can grow with long-term.

Consolidated PO View

The Orders page allows you to view the status of all purchase orders sent to you from buyers on Axya. This page is connected to the PO Portal you receive by email and allows you to navigate between them seamlessly. It comes with advanced search and filtering functionality to manage seamlessly.

Tabs to organize Active, shipped and canceled orders Search by Buyer, order number or part number Filter on all orders and by health status

For Buyers

AWS Email Integration – Sending emails on behalf of the buyer

This email integration involves the seamless incorporation of email functionality within the software to send messages on behalf of users. This will ensure all notifications the supplier will receive from you are well delivered. To activate this functionality, reach out to your customer care representative to initiate the authorization process.
